Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This policy applies to goldbank.app, goldbankapp.com, and the GoldBank mobile applications ("the Platform"), operated by Gold Bank Company for sale of gold, diamond and jewellery, State of Kuwait ("GoldBank", "we", "us").

1. What we collect

  • Identity & KYC data — name, Civil ID number, date of birth, nationality and Kuwait Mobile ID verification results, as required by Kuwaiti law for precious-metals transactions.
  • Contact data — email address, phone number, delivery address.
  • Transaction data — purchases, sales, redemptions, wallet balances, and payment references. Card details are processed by our CBK-licensed payment provider and are never stored on our servers.
  • Technical data — IP address, device type, browser, log files and cookies used for security, fraud prevention and analytics.

2. How we use it

  • To open and operate your GoldBank Wallet and execute your buy, sell, gift, share and redemption instructions.
  • To meet legal obligations, including identity verification (KYC), anti-money-laundering (AML) screening and record-keeping under Kuwaiti regulations.
  • To protect you and us — fraud detection, QR-verified redemptions, and account security.
  • To improve the Platform and, with your consent, send you service updates and offers. You may opt out of marketing at any time.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as language), and understand how the Platform is used. Third-party analytics and advertising partners (such as Google) may set cookies subject to their own policies; you can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the Platform may not function without them.

4. Sharing

We share data only with: our payment gateway (to process payments), our secure vaulting and logistics partners (to store and deliver your gold), regulators and authorities where required by law, and professional advisers under confidentiality. We never sell your personal data.

5. Security

All traffic is encrypted with TLS/SSL. Access to personal data is restricted, logged and reviewed. Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers. Redemptions require QR-code and Civil ID verification in person.

6. Retention

We retain KYC and transaction records for the period required by Kuwaiti law, and delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention duties), and may withdraw marketing consent at any time, by writing to info@goldbankapp.com. If you are located in a jurisdiction granting additional rights (such as the EU/GDPR or California/CCPA), we honour those rights for you.

8. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
